For Zapad Bank, Explorer MICE designed a dynamic team-building experience in Budva that combined creativity, competition, teamwork, and destination discovery. The program took participants from the Adriatic Sea to the historic streets of Budva through two engaging activities: a boat-building challenge on Hawaii Beach and a treasure hunt in the Old Town.
Arriving by Sea
The experience began with a boat transfer along the Budva coastline, immediately creating a sense of adventure and anticipation among participants.
Instead of arriving at a traditional event venue, the group reached Hawaii Beach by sea, enjoying panoramic views of Budva’s coastline before the first challenge even began. The arrival itself became part of the experience, setting the stage for a day built around collaboration and shared moments.
Building Boats, Building Teams
Upon arrival at Hawaii Beach, participants were divided into teams and presented with their first challenge: designing and building a boat using a limited set of materials.
What initially seemed like a fun beach activity quickly evolved into a test of teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving. Each team had to develop its own strategy, allocate responsibilities, manage resources, and work together to construct a vessel capable of floating and competing against the others.
Throughout the challenge, participants faced situations that closely reflected real business environments. Time management, decision-making, adaptability, and cooperation became essential for success.
The most exciting moment came when the boats were launched into the water. The beach transformed into a lively competition where every team had the opportunity to test its creation and celebrate the results of its collective effort.

Treasure Hunt Through the Old Town of Budva
Following the beach challenge, the program moved into one of Montenegro’s most iconic destinations — the Old Town of Budva.
Participants were once again divided into teams and tasked with solving clues, completing challenges, and navigating through the narrow stone streets of the medieval town.
Rather than experiencing Budva through a traditional guided tour, participants became active explorers. Hidden locations, historic landmarks, and strategic checkpoints turned the Old Town into an interactive playground where teamwork and problem-solving determined success.
As teams progressed through the challenge, they discovered not only clues but also the rich history and unique atmosphere of one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast.
The treasure hunt encouraged communication, leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration while simultaneously allowing participants to engage with the destination in a meaningful way.
Aloha-Themed Pool Party
After a day filled with challenges, teamwork, and exploration, the experience continued in a completely different atmosphere.
To conclude the program, Explorer MICE organized an Aloha-themed pool party, transforming the evening into a relaxed and vibrant celebration by the water.
With tropical décor, music, themed entertainment, and a casual atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to unwind, celebrate their achievements, and enjoy time together outside the structured activities of the day.
Events like these play an important role in successful team-building programs. While challenges and competitions strengthen collaboration, informal social experiences help create genuine connections between colleagues and encourage interaction in a more relaxed environment.
